Kettle Bell training was developed and is widely used in Russia. The tool is a spherical, cast iron ball with a special weight distribution and a handle. These classes are an introduction to Bridge and will cover the language of Bridge, No Trump Openings and Responses, Major and Minor Suit Openings and Responses. The class is taught by Lorraine Hanna, ACBL Accredited Bridge Instructor, Ruby Life Master, and 2017 Nominee Teacher of the Year. This 12-week session, which you can join at any time at a prorated rate, will provide you and your child a chance to learn new melodies that will last a lifetime. Built-in class rituals help little ones master preschool skills like turn-taking and critical listening. Circle dances and play-a-longs give children a sense of community and a chance to show off their creative nature. Join your neighbors for the Mid-Summer Picnic at the Commons! The homeowners association will
be serving up burgers, chicken, hotdogs, and beverages for all ages. Participating families need to
bring an appropriate appetizer, side dish, salad or dessert to serve at least 16. Dinner will be served
from 6:00pm to 8:00pm. Then it’s down to the pool to swim, socialize or just hangout poolside for the

Community Food Drive

The Summer Food Drive will be benefitting the North Hills Community Outreach’s food pantry and
be held on Saturday, July 22nd. Food pantries experience a greater need during the summer months
than the holiday season with kids being home from school. Brown bags will be distributed the week
prior in your newspaper bin. Simply leave your donation in the brown bag on your front porch before
11:00am on the 22nd. You can also drop off your donation at the Community Center before the 22nd.
We are also in need of volunteers to help collect/sort donations. Please call the Community Center
at 724-625-3500 by July 20th if you are able to lend a hand for a few hours. Thank you in advance for
your generosity of your donation and/or your time!
